SECTION ONE— Methodists Plan Homecoming Day Sunday J/lay 23rd The Rev. W. L. Freeman, Former Pastor, Will Preach at 11 A. M. Homecoming Day will be observed at the Edenton Methodist Church on Sunday, May 23, when all members and friends are cordially invited to at tend. The principal speaker for the occas ion will be the Rev. William L. Free man, a former pastor of the church, who will preach at the 11 o’clock ser vice. The pastor of the church extends a special invitation to all who helped on the new church school building to be present, as well as those who are not members of the church but made j contributions for the purpose. At the graduation exercises on Mon day night, May 31, at 8 o’clock, the senior class of 1954 will march in a dignified procession to the music of “Pomp and Circumstance” by Elgar, with Mary Leggett Browning at the piano. The invocation will be given by the Rev. R. N. Carroll, pastor of the Eden ton Baptist Church. The mixed chorus, under the direc tion of Miss Juanita Stokes, will pre ! sent two numbers.
