R. P. Long, congregational super visor, described the assembly aa a “huge-scale four-day seminar of Bible discourses, forums and dramatized dis cussions designed both for public con sumption and for the training and ad vancement of public ministry of Je hovah’s witnesses.” An official estimate of 10,000 peo ple are expected at the assembly, he announced. J. W. Davis, Jr., circuit representa tive for the witnesses throughout Eastern North Carolina, will have charge of the opening session Thurs day morning, June 24, at 9:30 o’clock, when he will deliver a discourse, “speeding up the Flight to the Moun tains” Sunday morning of the assem bly. Food Umbrella Aids Summer Pickniekers A new gadget has been devised to aid summer picnickers. Called a “shoo-fly food umbrella,” it is designed to protect picnic or out door dinner tables. The clever food cover, said to be a perfect foil against bugs and flies, is 10 inches squar*-. It fits down over cakes, pies, sand wiches, and other foods.
