SECTION ONE- Edenton Aces Lose Hard Fought Game To Ahoskie 19 To 13 i Breaks of Game Prove Very Costly to Eden ton Gridders Although outplaying the Ahoskie Indians Friday night in an Albemarle Conference game played in Ahoskie, Kdenton’s Aces were victims of the breaks of the game and lost a heart breaker hy a score of 19 to Id. The Aces chalked up 10 first downs to four for Ahoskie. In the passing depart ment the Aces completed four out of 10 passes for 52 yards, while Ahoskie netted 70 yards on the only pass com pleted in four tries, Ahoskie was penalized 80 yards and the Aces lost 50 yards on penalties. Ahoskie scored shortly after . the ■ kickoff When Hall slipped through the entire Edenton team at the 48-yard line to score the first touchdown. The! try for the extra point failed. Short- ' ly afterward the Aces began a drive i from their own 35. At the 8-yard line Holland flipped a pass to Roger-! son for the Aces’ first touchdown.
