Miss Jessie Byrunt Becomes Bride Os Wendell Crockett Redding Takes Place , At Home of Parents December 26 The marriage of Miss Jessie (tray. Byrum and Wendell Francis GroCkett was solemnized Sunday dfternoon, December 26*at 3:30 dVlook at the home of the bride in the Rocky Hock section in the presence of relatives and close •friends. The double ring' ceremony was performed in a candlelight set-1 ting by the Rev. Earl Richardson, pastor of the Edenton Methodist Church. The bride anil bridegroom enter ed together unattended. The bride Wore a gray woolen suit with matching accessories and her cor sage was a white orchid. The mother of the bride wore a black crepe dress and a corsage of white gardenias. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eli Thomas Byrum and the bridegroom is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Crockett of Suffolk, Va. . Immediately following the cere mony the parents of the bride en tertained at a wedding reception at j their home. After a wedding trip to Florida,: Mr, and Mrs. Crockett will he at home in Suffolk, Prior to Her marriage, Mrs. Croc-j kett was employed at The Betty j Shoppe, where she was assistant ] manager. Mr. Crockett owns and ] manages tin- Croekett Auto Supply! in Suffolk. j Those who entertained for Miss] Byrum before her wedding were: Mrs. J. H. Phelps. The road runs from Highway 32 to the road that leads from Edenton to Canaan’s Temple, distance of approximately,;, two.i miles. There :uv >i\ houses along the road.
