A very important meeting of
Chowan County soybean growers
will be held at the Court House
in Edenton on Friday afternoon,
February 18, at 2:00 o'clock, says
C. W. Overman, County £gent.
Changes in the official soybean
grades are in the legislative mil!
and if these .changes are made of- 1
fioial it can affect very material- |
ly the prices farmers receive for
soybeans grown in this area.
Prompt action by the growers may
alleviate this situation.
“Soybeans are one of our main
cash crops in Chowan ( ounty.
says Mr. Overman. “Prices have
been good and returns from this
crop has meant much to the in
come of growers. It is very rm- ,
portant that growers he informed
of the proposed changes in the j
United States grading standards,
for soybeans and make every ef
fort possible to keep them fair to
the farmer as well as the buyer.
“Mr. Soybean Grower, it Is your
responsibility to attend this meet
ing and know the facts. Prompt
action on the part of growers may
mean much.”

America today and that over four
million citizens have defective
hearts,” said Dr. Wallace Griffin,
who had charge of the program.
“However, when this trouble Is de

normal living, in many respects.”
