SECTION ON*- PAGE TWO Rev. Ralph Knight To Begin Revival For Presbyterians Dr. W. Twyman Will Preach From April 24 to May 1 The Rev. Ralph Knight, pastor of the Ballard’s Bridge Baptist Church, will preach a series of six 'timely sermons in the Edenton Presbyterian Church, beginning Monday, April 18, and continuing until Saturday, April 28, every night at 8 o’clock. The pastor, the ;Rev. James MacKenzie, who ex pends a cordial invitation to all to attend every service, announces that Mr. Knight’s sermons will deal with such subjects as church at tendance, worldliness, social drink ing, profanity, the need for conse cration, and the call to full-time Christian service. Mr. Knight is Well known in Chowan County as a consecrated Christian pastor who proaches the truth- without fear or compromise. Beginning Sunday night, April 24, the revival at the Presbyterian Church will be conducted by Dr. W. Twyman Williams of Appomat tox, Virginia, who will preach each night at 8 until Sunday night, May 1. It is felt that a two week meeting conducted by two different men will be of great benefit to the rhurch and to the community as a whole. All Christians, regardless of denominational affiliated, are re quested to remember all these ser vices in prayer, that all shall be biassed with a mighty out-pouring of the Spirit of God through them. Zoning Ordinance Adopted By Council (Continued from Page One) Ordinance is carried out, so that he will not issue permits for construc tion in the various areas unless Shey comply with the ordinance. Town Council will subsequently appoint an adjustment board, which group will consider complaints and recommend any proposed changes in the zoning ordinance to Town Council, after which Town Council is authorized to adopt or reject the proposed changes. At the meeting Tuesday night Mrs, Catherine Goodwin, president of the Edenton Woman’s Club, read a letter urging the adoption of the zoning ordinance.
