Competition Keen In Poster Contest Judges Have Difficult Time In Selecting Winners Tht' second annual conservation 1 poster contest sponsored by the lo cal soil conservation supervisors for the fifth, sixth and seventh prudes of Chowan County was held April/ft at the F.denton Momentary School anti was termed a success by the supervisors. Much interest was shown and competition between thi> schools was very keen. The judges hail a difficult time choos ing the winners for each grade, and they expressed the desire to choose more than two posters from each grade because the posters were so pood. Competition was very keen and many pood posters did not win a prize. Kooky I lock School is to lie com mended for winning all throe first prizes of .SHI each. Second prizes of $o each went to. Chowan High. Kdenton Junior High and Kdenton Klementary Schools. The money used for the prizes was part of the money donated by Chowan County merchants to the Albemarle Soil Conservation Dis trict for Itl.ao.
