That Makes It Quite Clear
Many of us are slow on posting
up on Einstein’s new theory be
] eause We haven’t yet got a clear
idea of his first one.
! A western professor can help us
in this respect.
"When a man holds a pretty
! girl on liis lap for an hour it
seems like a minute. But when he
sits on a hot stove a minute it
i seems to him like an hour. That’s
! relativity.”
The Root Os All Evil
A wealthy hut elderly woman |
who had been a spinster most of J
her life had finally taken the |
plunge and married a man some |
years her junior. After she re- |
turned home from her honeymoon
she was telling some friends about
the trip.
"And do you know,” she related,
"that on the third day of our
honeymoon George won first prize
in the Irish sweepstakes?"
“Good heavens," blurted out x
girl who was listening. “Three
days too late.”
