Davis cele brated their third wedding anniver sary Sunday by entertaining some cne hundred and fifty of their friends with a cocktail party in the Patio Room of the Officers’ Club. Support Program For Soybeans Is Extended The county ASC office has been advised that the 1956 Crop Price Support Program has been extend ed to cover spybeans grading lower than No. 4 if such grade has been given because the total damage ex ceeds 8. per cent, according to H. O. West, Chowan County ASC of fice manager. This change in the program was made necessary be cause of extensive damage to soy-, beans in the field brought about by excessive rainfall in recent weeks. Soybeans must grade No. 4 or better except for damage but must not contain in excess of 14 per cent moisture. A maximum of 3 per cent heat damage is permitted. The support rate for these soy beans will be discounted on the ba sis of total damage. Farmers desiring additional in formation on the Soybean Price Support Program should contact the county ASC office, Mr. West said.
