Lt and Mrs. Art Long enter tained a visitor, too,, Bob Chris tian of Richmond. Va. Major and Mrs. William Zane and family spent a few days in Washington, D. C., this past week. Several of the bridge players of the O’ Wives Club enjoyed a re laxing afternoon last week in the cool, air-conditioned O’ Club. I surely wish I could play; what a way to “beat the heat” as the say ing goes. Mrs. W. S. McCaslin, Jr., was hostess and also won first prize. NAAS would like to welcome aboard Lt. Col. and Mrs. Charles W. Boggs and their family, Chas. Jr., and Jeffrey. Lt. Col. Boggs is to be the new commanding of ficer of MABS. There will be an O’ Wives luncheon Thursday, July 25, at the base swimming pool. It will begin at 1:30 P. M., and box lunches will be provided in lieu of a luncheon. Hostesses will be Mrs. F. B. Haines and Mrs. K. L. Byers. Reservations must be in by noon Monday, July 22. To ; make them, call either Mrs. Den-1 nis, 3072 or Mrs. Shields, 3863. HB%\ Sw w X \ k ROYAL RACER IN OSLO—Running before a brisk breeze which fills its balloon spinnaker, the yacht Hanko, manned by Norway's Crown Prince Regent Olav and his crew, com petes in the annual One Ton Cup race at Oslo. The race was won by the American yacht Llanoria. The prince is a sailing enthusiast who takes part in many national and in ternational competitions.
