PAGE TWO •—SECTION one Class Monday At St. Paul’s Bishop Wright Will Confirm The Rt. Rev. Thomas Henry 'Wright, D.D., Bishop of the Dio cese of East Carolina of the Pro testant Episcopal Church, U. S. A. will be in Edenton at St. Paul’s - Church, Monday for the conse cration of the church building and to confirm a class of adults. He will be assisted by the Rt. ! Rev. Edwin Anderson Penick. the Rt. Rev. Matthew George Henry and the Rt. Rev. George Purnell Gunn. A number of visiting clergy men will be in Edenton for the occasion and many distinguished visitors and guests. Several services will precede the historic service beginning Sunday (Septuagesimal with the 11 o’clock service of Litany and Ante-Communion and a tour of the church building to which all are cordially invited at seven in the evening. Holy Communion will be cele brated Monday morning at 10:30 A. The Parish, which is the old est in the state of North Caro lina, has enjoyed a long histoby and involves the lives of many distinguished people of the na*- tion’s history. This occasion fol lows a tragic fire of June, 1950. when the building was somewhat destroyed, and further restoration became necessary from which in debtedness the parish is new re lieved. The colorful procession of Bish ops and clergymen will be met at the door of the church by the Senior Warden, Dr. Frank Wood, and the Junior Warden, David Minton Warren, together with the Marshals, Joseph H. Conger. Sr., and John Washington Gra ham, and all members of the Ves try. meetings at the Edenton Restau rant. BPW members will cooperate in the March of Dimes drive by canvassing their own streets. The president read a letter from Mrs. Myra Mitchell, district director, in which all coming activities were listed- The next district meeting will be held in Scotland Neck on March 15. Plans are also in the making for a tour by chartered I bus to Washington, D. C., on April 11 and 12. !
