Chappell, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Chappeil, Sr., of Hertford were united in marri age. The vows were spoken with the Rev. L. C. Chandlar, pastor of the Macedonia Baptist Church, officiating in the double ring ceremony. She car ried a bride’s bouquet with two all white orchids with stephon etis and pearl and velvet leaves. Miss Gloria Bunch, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. She wore a, dress of gold taf feta with a back-buttoned scal loped lace jacket in matching color. Her headdress was a gold velvet tiara with a small veil. She carried a semi-crescent of Peter John chrysanthemums with velvet leaves. - Bridesmaids were Mrs. Ron- , aid Saunders of Edenton, sister of the bride; Mrs. Thomas Chap pell of Hertford, sister-in-law of the bridegroom; Mrs. Wallace White of Edenton, cousin •of the. bride, and Mrs. Charles Harrell of Hertford, sister oj the bride groom. They wore dresses of blue taffeta and lace fashioned after the honor attendant. Their flowers were Peer John chrys j anthemums arranged in a semi - crescent. Best man was the bride- j groom’s father, R. S. Chappell,: Sr. Ushers were Ronald Saund ers of Edenton, brother-in-law of the bride; Thomas Chappell : of Hertford, brother of the bride groom; O. C. ' The mother of the bride wore a blue wool dress, blue hat and black accessories, with a cor sage of pink cimbedium orchids. The bridegroom’s mother wore a dress of plum with black acces sories, her corsage was pink cimbedium orchids. Mrs. O. C. Long, Jr., was mis tress of ceremony. The couple receive/! in the church vestibule. After the wedding Mr. and Mrs. Chappell left for Florida.
