Cancer Advisor Javcee Speaker Mrs. Kay Broughton of Ra leigh, volunteer state advisor of the National Foundation in North Carolina, spoke at the Junior Chamber of Commerce meeting Thursday night at the Edenton Restaurant. She spoke on ‘'What It Means to Have the National Founda tion in North Carolina.” Ac cording to Mrs. Broughton, 8.000 polio patients are cared for by the Foundation in the state. She discussed the new pro gram of the Foundation, which includes birth defects and sa’d more would be done in this phase as the money became available.
