SENIOR 4-H CLUB MEETS
The Center Hill Senior 4-H
Club held its January meetitig
at the Center Hill Community
Building. The meeting was
called to order by the vice presi
dent. Emmett Jones, Jr. Fran
ces Smithson gave the devo
tional by reading from I Co
rinthians 13:1-13. Susan Evans
and Emmett Jones, Jr., were
elected to go to the recreation
al workshop in February.
Miss Catherine Aman gave a
demonstration on crafts. It was
so interesting that some of the
4-H members decided to take
crafts as a project.
Refreshments were served.

CENTER HILL CLUB MEETS
Center Hill Home Demonstra
tion Club met Tuesday night,
January 19, with Mrs. Ralph
Goodwin. Fifteen members were
present. Mrs. W. J. Privott and
Mrs. Herbert Dale were welcom
ed as our visitors.
Mrs. B. P. Monds. president,
called the meeting to order by
the group singing "Onward.
Ever Onward”, which was fol
lowed by devotional and prayer
Year books were handed out
and .hostesses for the yeat se
lected. The club decided to
have a corn shuck craft work
shop March 9 at the community
building and a covered dish sup
per in February at the joint
meeting of husbands and wives
This will also be in the com
munity building at 6:30.
Miss Pauline Calloway, home
economics agent, gave an inter
esting demonstration on maul
planning. A flannel board was
used and members were shown
how to use the basic seven
foods (now four groups) every
day. “Meal planning begins
with what you plant in the
home garden.” said Miss Callo
way.
Everyone enjoyed the social
hour.
