Edenton stayed behind in the game until the sixth inning. In that inning Edenton was able to score six runs, making the score 7-5, but Rocky Hock roared back in the bottom of the seventh inning. The winning run was scored on a beautifully executed squeeze play. The winning pitcher was •Bass and the losing pitcher was Bootwright. 2,864 Lose Driving License During June | The Motor Vehicles Depart i ment reports that 2,864 motor- I ists were required to surrender * their legal driving privileges in I June for a variety of traffic of | senses ranging from drunk driv ing through incompetency. The June list brought the mid year total of license withdrawals to 16,620 officials said. In a regular monthly compila tion of license revokable traffic violations, the vehicles agency listed 791 revocations for drunk driving and 683 for speeding during June. The two offenses normally lead the revocation list. Other violations leading to re vocation included in part reck less driving, driving after li ' cense suspended, failure to de j posit security, larceny of automo ' bile, transporting intoxicants, I improper use of dirver’s license | and incompetency.
