THEODORE WAYNE BEACH In a beautiful candlelight ceremony at the Edenton Bap tist Church, Miss Linda Lee Leary and Theodore Wayne Beach were united in marriage, Saturday afternoon, August 13, at 4 o'clock. The Rev. R. N. Carroll, pastor the Edentoh Baptist Church, officiated. The| church was decorated with white wedding flowers and spiral can delabra. The bride given in marriage by her father, Leon G. Leary, wore a princess style of silk organza and imported French Chantilly lace, with the bodice fashioned into a scallop ed neckline. The bride's fingertip veil of 1 silk illusion was attach ed to a tiara of seed pearls and chrystali drops. *She carried a bouquet‘s of stephanotis, fleur d’amour, centered with white orchids. \ Miss Elizabeth Weeks of Wil son, N. C., the maid of honor, wore a sheath dress of romance blue taffeta with an overshirt of matching blue silk Organza. Her headpiece was of match ing silk organza and she carried crescents of rose-beige pom poms and mums. Smith of Eden ton was bridal consultant and mistress of ceremonies. After the ceremony the bride’s parents entertained at a recep tion at the Penelope Barker i house. Receiving at the door were Mr. and Mrs. Warren Twiddy and Mr. and Mrs. Ken neth L. Floars introduced the guests to • the, receiving line. Mrs. J. Clarence Leary, Sr., and Mrs. Maurice L. Bunch, Sr., ser ved the wedding cake and Mrs. George C. Hoskins and Mrs. A. J. Mason, aunt of the bride, from Portsmouth, Va., poured punch. Others assisting were Mrs. Richard Goodwin, Mrs. Robert L. Pratt, Mrs. Kermit L. Layton, Mrs. John N. Bunch, and Mrs. 'Mack G. Rogerson. Miss Peggie Elliott presided over the bride’s registry, and uncles pf the bride. A. J. Mason ■ of Portsmouth, Va., and W. Carlton Mason of Norfolk, Va,., said the goodbyes. For going away, the bride wore a white sharkskin dress with brown accessories. Her corsage was an orchid lifted from her bridal bouquet. After a southern wedding trip,,, the couple will reside in Richmond, Va., where Mr. Beach will be teaching. He is a grad j uate of East Carolina College in Greenville, N. C., and a : member of the Sigma Phi Ep silon, a social fraternity, and Phi Mu Alpha, a professional music fraternity. Mrs. Beach will continue her studies in music. She is a member of Sig- [ ma Alpha lota, a professional music fraternity for women, and j has also been a member of the! majorette corps of the East Carolina Band for the past two years.
