V^wSjfft? Coming before God with an humble and H contrite heart and asking God’s forgiveness is fl an act that bothers some folks. . > Episcopalians believe it’s a part of being a Christian. We believe it’s important enough fl to go beyond the few words of confession com fl tained in the Lord’s Prayer. You don’t agree? All right, think of it in > fl this way. God has given us away of life. Our Lord said, "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with fl all thy heart, with all thy soul and with all fl thy mind. This is the first and great command- I ment. And the second is like unto it, thou fl shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these I two commandments hang all the law and the V I prophets.” kr! I If we haven’t done these things —as posi tive action^ — we have sinned against God and fl man. And we need God’s forgiveness. How do we get it? We ask for it. fl In every service in an Episcopal Church fl you'll find the entire congregation on its knees f| asking God’s forgiveness and receiving from the priest the assurance that God does forgive. Private confession to your priest isn’t required, H but it’s there if you desire this means of grace fl and definite assurance of forgiveness. Why don’t you join us, in the Episcopal I Church? You’ll find that "confession is good for the soul”.; i OF ST.
