White, treas urer. . ~ ; Elected to the board of direc- tors were: Perquimans County, Floyd Mathews, Charles E. .‘ White, Sr., and Archie T. Lane, Sr.; Chowan, Joe Wiggins and _John Bunch; Pasquotank, Walter Lowry and Tommy Temple; J' Camden, Joe Hastings and James Whitehurst. President Lane presented a re port on the accomplishments and the financial condition of the showing that dur ing the past year there was a ‘ .gross income of $258,390 with operational expenses amounting s ‘to $199,071.95, leaving a net mar ”C‘gin "• of $41,936.25. He stated ..that assets of the corporation have grown to $1,322,005. J. D. Coston. manager of the corporation, also reported on the progress made during the past year and plans for the coming year. Featuring the entertainment j for the large number attending! the meeting was Ernest Bivens and His Playboys and the Cava lier Quartet of Norfolk. BPW Club Planning For Christmas Party Continued from ?age 1, Section 1 purchase. The names of three deceased charter members, Mrs. Corie B. White, Mrs. J. G. Cam ped and' Miss Inez Felton will be inscribed on the plaque, which will be hung in the club room. Mrs. Smith announced that the club will again sponsor the Christmas parade and that plans are now being formulated. Mrs. Alice Twiddy is chairman of this propect. The Birthday Calendar sale will be in charge of Miss Mil dred Munden, chairman, with members of the club assisting. Members of the Woman’s Club and the Junior Chamber of Commerce will also assist in this project. Miss Beulah Perry, finance chairman, presented several budget recommendations which were accepted by the club.
