books, one for Town of Edenton

general elections. To be eligible
to east a ballot in the November
election a voter must be regis-
bn the county registration
boo® and in the particular pre
cinct in which he or she at pres
ent/elides and must vote.

pose of challenging any voters.

Scouts Reorganize

House’ Association for allowing
use of their respective buildings
as meeting places.
Although most of the fourj
troops have a full membership,;
it is possible that a few more 1
girls might be included in each
troop. Any parents interested in
having their girls participate in
this enjoyable and worthwhile
program may call the above
leaders or may send their shild
to the above listed meeting
places.

Leon Evans Wins

They won a trip to Raleigh for
State 4-H Club Week, where
they competed in state finals,
winning third place. Last year,
Leon was second place state pro
ject winner.
Leon attributes much of his
success in his forestry project
o Robert Marsh, former assist
ant county agricultural agent,
who worked with him the first
four years.
In addition to forestry, Leon
is very active in other projects—
corn, hogs, health, tractor and
gardening. He is a very coop
erative worker in all phases of
school and community 4-H ac
tivities. He feels that he has
learned many valuable things in
4-H work and has gained ex
periences that will help him
throughout his life.
