visitor in Edenton Monday
morning. Mr. Gavin, together |

in Edenton while on a tour of
Eastern North Carolina.

Edenton Woman’s Club Plans
For Outstanding Fall Activities
Two big events for children
will be staged the last of Octo-]
ber by the Edenton Woman’s |
Club. The annual Halloween
Party will be held Monday Oc
tober 31, and the Barter Players
of Virginia have been engaged
to present the fairy tale, “Rum
pelstiltskin” Saturday night, Oc
tober 29.
Plans for these events and
others during the month were
made at the October meeting of
the club held last week at the
Edenton Restaurant.

announced that the club has
been awarded a certificate of
appreciation by the American
Cancer Society for the work
done by the club for the last 13
years in the cancer crusade.

Aces Preparing

bales of 500 pounds gross weight!

Production of 275,000 bales
from the current crop would be
