Jordan was elect ed Vice President and .Mrs. Clara B. Simons, Treasurer. Both of these club members proved themselves worthy of the po sitions by their work and lead ership in Home Demonstration Club work here in the county during the past ten years. The day’s program was cen tered on Our Responsibility— Prepare Youth To Accept The Challenge of Change. Members attending will report in their various' clubs. The Chowan County YMW Club held its Annual Banquet Monday night at Robin’s Restau rant and it was a most enjoy able affair. Turkey and the trimmings were served buffet style. Small talk and dancing made the fellowship enjoyed, one which will long be remembered. This club is open to young men and women throughout Chowan County. The next meeting is scheduled for Decem ber 5, at Robin’s Restaurant, 8:00 P. M. It would be nice for you to join them. Ed Bond Post of the Ameri can Legion and the Legion Au xiliary will hold a joint supper meeting at the post home Fri day night, November 11, at 7 o'clock. A workshop is being held each Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock in St. Paul's Parish House in connection with the basaar to be 'held November 15. Chowan Tribe of Red Men will meet Monday night at 7:30 o'clock. Edenton's Rotary Chib will meet this (Thursday) afternoon at 1 o'clock at the Parish House. Aces See Baltimore And Packers Play An Edenton group traveled in a catered, ,-bus.. ttkjfetjtimore Sunday, where they witnessed a professional football game be tween the Baltimore Colts and Green Bay Packers. The group, guests of Joe Mitchener, includ ed 31 members of the Eden ton Aces’ squad, two coaches and five guests. The group left early Sunday morning and held a Sunday School lesson on the bus while enroute to Baltimore.
