Chowan Bulldogs Begin 1960 Basketball Seasoii November 18 Chowan High School Bulldogs will play their first basketball game Friday night, November 18 at Mars Hill. •The stbrtfers for the girls’ team bre Janet Hendrix, Dinah Blanchard, Judy Evans, Norma leen flollowell, Judy Haste and Batty Morris. Other players are JUne Chappell, Annette White, Cirolyn Evans, JoAnn Copeland, Susan Evans, Barbara Chappell, Linda Byrum, Lois Chappell, Kathryn Roberson, Mary Tynch, Celia Elliott and Eloise White. The boys’ starters are James Cdpeland, Jimmy Turner, Ron nie Toppin, Larry Toppin and Josey Asßell. Other players are • Percy Roberson, Leon Evans, Emmett Jones, Tracy Smith, El lis Dorsey Ward, Roy Hollowell, Bobby Hollowell and] Bernard Davis.
