Edenton is one of the few communities in the United States to retain so many historic sites and such fine colonial buildings. It was here that much of the early North Carolina history began and the organizations hope that' the film will help the people of the area to realize that their heritage must be saved for the delight of future generations. It is hoped that the solution to the financial situation might be an swered by advertising the his torical aspects of our town, which will attract tourists.” Scenes in the film include practically all the historic places in the town and county, many with the added lure of colonial costuming, and interiors of some of the homes and buildings; aerial shots of the town; indus try; agriculture, and water scenes with fishing and boating. The film will be shown over a minimum of 227 TV channels the first year, and the chapter will have a copy of the film which can be loaned to organi zations for programs.
