18 at 4:00 P. .M., with a double
ceremony in Ballard’s Bridge
Baptist Church. The Rev. R. M.

ed the ceremony,

pearls. She carried an orchid

wore a Christmas red velvet
dress and carried a cascade

mums. The bridesmaids were

sister of the bridegroom; Miss
Janet Faye Hendrix, cousin of

bridegroom.
Caswell Shaw, Jr., student at
U.N.C., sang “Through The
Years,” “The Sweetest Story
Ever Told” and “The Lord’s
Prayer.” He was accompanied
by Miss Jackie Asbell of Tyner.
A reception was held in the
Chowan Community Building.
The couple are making their
home in Norfolk, Va.
Mrs. Wallace Hobbs of
Whaleyville, Va., was mistress
of ceremony.
