All of these meetings are scheduled for 6:30 o’clock and are dinner meetings. The program is an illustrated discussion on “Making New Fur niture From Old.” We are look ing forward to the good fellow ship with you folks and hope we will give you some good ideas you can use at home. Bray Director At All-State Band Clinic Continued from Page I—Section 1 rectors in charge of these events will be Derwood Bray, Edenton; William Glasgow, Farmville; Harry Shipman, Kinston; John Lowery, Plymouth; Frank Ham mond, Rocky Mount; J. C. Sykes, Rocky Mount; Robert Crumpler, Tarboro, and William Adcock, Wilmington. Two public concerts will be presented as highlights of the j clinic. The East Carolina Col lege Concert Band, with Mr. Carter as director, will give a program Friday at 8 P. M., in the Wright auditorium. The clinic symphonic and concert band will appear Saturday night at 7:30, also in the Wright au ditorium. Members ot the Greenville High School Band are assisting the college music department ini arranging the entertainment of high school musicians during 1 their participation in the clinic. I A number of social events be-! ing arranged for visitors on thej campus include a dance Friday night after the concert. Music will be provided by the East Carolina Collegians. During the clinic, auditions will be held to choose members from the Eastern North Carolina counties who will play with the All-State High-School Band at a regional convention of the Music Educators National Conference in April at Asheville. Edenton placed five students in the first band, Bud Skiles, Bob Powell, Ronnie Sawyer, John Bunch and Ronnie Roun tree. One student, Ronnie Saw ' yer, placed first in his section | in the auditions. ! In the second band, Edenton placed two students, Charles : Wood and Jerry Yarborough.
