Woman’s Club At Sunbury Plans To Hold Fashion Show i Today and tomorrow’s fashions | from a man’s point of view is I the theme of a fashion show toj eb sponsored by the Sunbury Women’s Club Friday night,! March 3, at 8 o’clock in the high school auditorium. Rose Hall, a woman's apparel Shop near Virginia Beach, will i | furnish fashions. Models will! ! be chosen from among the girls ! residing in different communi ties of Gates County. i Mrs. Bruce Milam, general chairman, has announced that Colin Studds, owner of Rose' Hall, will give the commentary for the show, which will include spring and summer fashions from swim suits to formal .gowns. Tickets to the show may be obtained from any club member and will also be available at the door. Two door prizes will be awarded. The adult holding the* lucky ticket will receive a eom-| plete silver tea service. There will also be an award for the ( youth under 12 years holding I the lucky junior ticket. These prizes are now on dis-j play at the Farmers Bank of Sunbury. The person holding the lucky ticket will not have to be present on thiat night to win.) Water house, rector of Saint Peter's Episcopal Church at Washington, N. C., will address the second Lenten luncheon gathering at St. Paul’s Church in Edenton Tues day, February 28. The luncheon will begin at 12:05 P. M., with' dismissal at 12:55. Mr. Waterhouse is an able' preacher with much speaking I experience. He is a native of) Manchester, England, but was 1 educated in the United States as well as in his homeland. He is a graduate of the Vir ginia Theologioal Seminar y, Alexandria, Virginia. He has been both a missionary clergy man and a Chaplain in the United States Army. He served churches in Virginia before as suming his present duties. He has been a deputy to the Gen eral Convention twice, and Chairman of the Department of Christian Education of the Dio-J cese. He is a trustee of the Good Shepherd Hospital, New Bern. At the first Screening Committee meet ing last week, 23 crafts were approved, 17 of which will have! demonstration booths. This wjll be the Third Albe marle Craftsman’s Fair, which annually is co-sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce of Eliza beth City and the Home Demon stration Agents of the Albe marle area. All persons in the Albemarle area are urged to submit their crafts for the second screening March Ist. C., by February 27.- Masons Conducting Attendance Contest Unanimity Lodge No. 7, A. F. & A. M., has begun an attend ance contest which will run for three months.
