New Ford Tractor On
Exhibition This Week
Scott Harrell, manager of the
Edenton Tractor & Implement
Company, announces that the
new Ford “6000” tractor will go
on display today (Thursday), Fri
day and Saturday.
“Work-hungry” aptly describes
the newest, biggest and most
powerful tractor ever built by
Ford Motor Company, says Mr.
Harrell.
The 6000 is a five-plow trac
tor,” says Mr. Harrell. “Its
work-ability, its economical op
eration and its adaptability to
all farming tasks ideally qualify
it for use by farmers seeking to
ease the cost-price squeeze.
“The new Ford 6000 tractor,”
Mr. Harrell says, “is designed
for operation with most three
point hitch and pull-type equip
ment now commonly owned by
or available to farmers and is
adaptable to Ford’s new corn
pickers, corn harvesters and
picker-shellers.
“All of us at Edenton Trac
tor & Implement Company have
carefully examined and are
thoroughly familiar with the
Ford 6000 tractor. We are im
pressed with the way Ford Mo
tor Company incorporated into
this new machine the best design
and engineering features derived
from its more than 40 years of
tractor manufacturing. We be
lieve every tractor user in this
area will want to inspect this
new tractor, and we cordially
invite them to do so.”
