Wright and | the bridegroom is the son of | Mrs. Robert Lee Pate and the \late Mr. Pate. •' Given in marriage by her fa ther, the bride wore a fitted bod ice floor length gown of rose patterned chantilly lace over satin with a jeweled neckline of nylon tulle. Chantilly lace points from the waistline creat ed an apron effect over the. billowy skirt. Her finger-tip veil was attached to a tiara set with rhinestones and pearls. She carried a prayer book top ped with an orchid, stephanotis and pearls. Her only jewelry was a pair of rhinestone ear rings presented to her as a gift from the bridegroom. Maid of honor was Miss Lo rean Wright, cousin of both the bride and bridegroom, who wore a dress of champagne chiffon and carried a bouquet of vio lets with pink sweetheart roses and pink feathered carnations. The bridesmaids were Miss Joan Wright, sister of the bride, Miss Grace Whiteman and Miss Laurie Whiteman, cousins of the bride, and Miss Joyce Bond, a good friend of the bride. The attendants wore lilac rayon dresses covered with lacy tops and chiffon skirts. Their nose gays consisted of violets and pink feathered carnations. Miss Marcia Nixon, cousin of the bride, was flower girl and Master Stevie Sawyer, cousin of the bridegroom, was ring bearer. Larry Hardison, good friend of the bridegroom, was best man. Ushers were Howard Askew, Lloyd Parrish, Ray Ward and Mickey Lassiter. Mrs. A. W. Wright, Jr., sister in-law of the bride, was mis tress of ceremony. She wore a I dark green wool dress and a corsage of white carnations. The bride’s mother wore a dress of* rose pink flowered lace over taffeta and a white cymbid ium orchid. The bridegroom’s mother was attired in a low neckline navy blue acetate ray on dress. Her neck was adorn ed in pearls and her corsage was a white cymbidium orchid. A reception, given by Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Wright, Jr., follow ed the wedding ceremony in the Church annex. The couple honeymooned in Florida and now reside at 105 South Oakum Street in Edenton.
