Yes, Satan is very much alive
today. He is the prince of this
| earth. He is still beautiful and
powerful to mankind. We can
not conquer Satan. We do not
have to conquer Him. Christ
defeated him on the cross of
Calvary. We must commit our
selves to Christ and trust Him
as personal saviour from sin.
Then Satan will be defeated in
our lives. We will still be
teirtpted but we have strength
from God to continue to live
Christlike as much as we possi
bly can. Thank God, Saltan has
been conquered.

Carolina that in accordance with a resolution adopted by the Board of Councilmen I
of the Town of Edenton. Edenton, North Carolina, and the General Laws of the State I
of North Carolina, the Chowan County Board of Elections hereby calls for an elec- B
tion to be held in the Town of Edenton on Tuesday, May 2, 1961. the same being fl
the first Tuesday after the first Monday in May, the date established by the law for B
said election. Said election shall be conducted for the purpose of electing a Mayor fl
and six Councilmen, one Councilman to be elected from each ward of the Town of fl
Edenton and two to he elected by the town at large, a Treasurer, and five members I
of the Board of Public Works by the voters of the town. The Mayor, each Coun- fl
cilman, the Treasurer and each member of the Board of Public Works shall be elect- fl
ed to hold office for a term of two years, and until their successors are elected and B

polling places at 9:00 A. M„ on Saturday. April 15, 1961, and shall keep said books B
open each day for seven (7) days, excluding Sunday, for the registration of any new I
electors entitled to register from 9:00 A. M., until 5:00 P. M.. except on Saturday, B
