Lloyd Parrish, JOHN MARSHALL HONORED AT RECOGNITION DINNER Eagle Scout John Marshal of Edenton was recognized for his achievements in Scouting Tues day night, March 28, at the an nual Eagle Scout Recognition dinner. This event was held at the U. S. Navy Amphibious Base at Little Creek, Va. About 80 Eagle Scouts through the Norfolk and Northeast ern North Carolina areas were present and enjoyed the din ner as well as a very realistic demonstration of an amphibiotfs landing with simulated atomic weapons. The Scouts were con gratulated and encouraged to continue in their good works. Marshal’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Maynard Perry, accom panied him, as well as his se lected sponsor, Dr. Ed Bond. Each Scout picks a sponsor with a vocation or profession in which he has an interest.
