Byrum Implement & Truck Company was low bidder for an International truck and the crawler tractor. The truck price was $3,079.03 and the tractor $5,385. Baker Equipment Engi neering Company of Charlotte was low bidder for the com paction garbage unit at a price of $4,540 for a Garwood unit. It was reported that a stop sign had been installed at Al bania and Dickerson Streets. Mayor John Mitchener advis ed the Councilmen that the Edenton school trustees will meet jointly with Town Council Tuesday night, July 11, for the purpose of appointing two mem bers to the school trustees for whom the terms have expired. VFW MEETS TUESDAY William H. Coffield Post No. 9280, Veterans of Foreign Wars, will meet Tuesday night, June 20, at 8 o’clock. All members of the post are urged to be present.
