Each bid must be accompanied I
by a certified check for five per I
cent (5%) of the amount of bid I

question whether the qualified

edness, tax levy and bond order

in said County on July 11, 19fil

turns of the Registrars and Judg
es of Election appointed to hold

the result of said election to be

(2) The total number of quali

the indebtedness to be incurred

County of the maximum princi
pal amount of $289,000 to fi
nance the cost of reconstructing,
enlarging and altering the exist
ing building used for the Cho
wan County High School and
the existing building used for
the Edenton High School, in
cluding installation of proper
drainage facilities and covered
walkways, and the erection of
an addition to the building used
for the John A. Holmes High
School, and (2) the levy of a tax
for the payment of such bonds,
[and (3) the bond order entitled
. “Bond Order authorizing the is
. suance of $289,000 School Bonds
of the County of Chowan” adopt
ed by the Board of Commission
ers of May 16, 1961, to authorize
the issuance of said bonds and
the levy of such tax, was 489.

said indebtedness, the levy of

(4) A majority of the qualified
' voters who voted at said elec
