,I*This week at the Chowan |
11 County Fair the YMW Club has
lion display an exhibit, “Co-ordi
llnAting Color In The Home”.
I ‘practically every family re
st ports painting inside of the
K home each year. It may be one
ft robm or the entire house, That
■ indicates that basically families
ft wgnt their surroundings clean
ft and beautiful.
ft , The trend for color in the
ft Hhorne has changed a little ac-
I [cording to the bulletin, Co-ordi-
Jinating Color In The Home, pre-
I ’paired by Catherine C. King,

| ’Specialist, “a more spacious ef
et can be achieved in a small
ne by using one dominant
f cblor throughout the house.
RtLight colors also make rooms
m appear larger. More colors can
used in a large home, but
J-ijtop many unrelated color
t schemes are quite displeasing.”
** The YMW Club committee on
«.the exhibit chose light green as
• their predominate color through
*„out the home. Pleasing and
color was achieved
i» with furnishings and accessories,

*Erie Jordan, chairman, Mrs. El
f nora Barnes, Mrs. Pattie Fayton,

Aces And E. City
Jackets Clash Friday
Continued from Page 1, Section 1
ring to Jim Epley, Don Math
ews, Heywood Spruill and Ron
nie Dail. Epley is an excellent
runner and dangerous passer
and both Mathews and Spruill
are powerful and fast runners.
Dail is their best runner, be
ing both fast and shifty. Bob
by Brockett and Don Saunders
are the best linCfmen.
The Aces, barring injuries in
practice, are in good shape for
the fray and they, as well as
Coaches Bill Billings and Billy
Hardison, feel that Friday night’s
game will be probably the
toughest on this year’s schedule.
While no predictions have been
made by the coaches, they feel
confident the invading Yellow
Jackets will meet a tough little
Edenton team able to provide
enough opposition so that the
Yellow Jackets will know they
were in a football game.
The game, with favorable
weather, should take on the as
pects of a college game. The
crack Elizabeth City Band will
accompany the Yellow Jackets
to Edenton. and., the Edenton-
Band, too, will be on hand to
help add color and entertain
ment for the large crowd of
spectators expected to see the
two arch rivals play their best
I in order to come off the victor.
