Mitchener, Jr., J. E. Buff lap, George A. Byrum, Luther, C. Parks, C. A. Phillips, R. El ton Forehand and R. D. Dixon,] Jr. I The meeting was called to or-i derby Mayor Mitchener and j George A. Byrum gave the. in- 1 vocation. Herbert W. Taylor, Emmett: Ingram and Major Walter Beale] appeared on behalf of the North) Carolina Army National Guard 1 in regards to the lease of the I firing range. The Council agreed to change the lease to 5 years with a 90 day cancel lation clause with the Town paying a prorata share of the < cost of permanent improvements] (not to exceed $3,500.00) if thej Town should have to invoke the cancellation clause within the' first three v«ars. Motion was made by R. D. j Dixon, Jr., seconded by R. Elton j Forehand and duly carried that i the following ordinance be! adopted: i An ordinance authorizing the i issuance of $543,000 of bbnds of the Town of Edenton for the enlargement and extension of the sanitary sewer system of the Town of Edenton. Jr., and duly earned | that the recommendation of the E & W Board to establish a j sewer charge to finance the r proposed bonds to construct 1 sewage disposal facilities; be ac-J cepted.
