Edenton Jaycees plan to sell! safety seat belts to car owners in Edenton, according to Bill Easterling, president. The belts will go oq sale today (Thurs day). The belts are available in a variety of colors to match auto mobile interiors. They have been approved by various testing services and the Department of Motor Vehicles. The Jaycees will realize no profit from the sale of belts. Chairman of the overall pro ject is Britton- Byrum. The nine-week basic training consists of classroom instruction in naval topics, including mili tary etiquette, drill, physical fit ness, swimming and survival, first aid, shipboard safety pre cautions and security duty. In addition, recreation periods are included in the rigorous pro gram. Throughout the training, re cruits receive specialized coun seling which assists them in se lecting a rating in which to work from more than 65 avail able job specialties.
