Memorial Funds Being Sought |tn Chowan To Combat CancerJ In response to numerous re- { quests from families, other | J groups and individuals, the' American Cancer Society has -inaugurated a memorial fund to which families and friends of cancer victims may contribute, according to Mrs. Warren Twid dy, chairman of the 1962 Cho wan County Cancer Crusade. j “The memorial fund has been estaibiished to provide a, prac tical and fitting means by which families or friends can com memorate a loved one who has died of cancer or other cause,’’ 1 Mrs. Twiddy said. Contributions made in mem ory of a family member or a friend are acknowledged by the American Cancer Society and a memorial card is sent to the family, other group or individ ual stating that a memorial has been. received and giving the name of the donor.
