Mt Sinai Revtval y Planned Aug. 6-12 Rev. W. E. Pope of Fayetteville Will Be Evangelist The Rev. Walter Hill, pastor of I\Ct. Sinai Baptist Church, an nounces that revival services will be held at the church be ginning Monday, August 6, and continue through Sunday, Au gust 12. Services will begin each night at 8 o’clock and special music will feature each service. The visiting minister will be the Rev. W. E. Pope of Fayette ’ ville, N. C. Mr. pope is pastor of Mt. The bride, given in marriage by her lather, wore a gown of white silk organza over taffeta, yyith a flat bow at the back of a controlled skirt. Her finger tip veil fell from a lace-covered satin pillbox. She carried white roses on an antique ivory and l§ce fan. Miss Lynda Sherbakoff of , Bayside, N. Y., was maid of; honor. She wore a light pink organza over taffeta dress with a scoop neckline and -draped skirt. Her cabbage rose hat and shoes were of deep pin'k and she carried pink tea roses. Bridesmaids, - dressed identical- I ly to the maid of honor, were Miss Cynthia Pierce of New buryport, Mass., and Miss Carla Crooks of Newport, Mass., cou sin of the bride. < Lieut, (jg) David Chapman, USN, was best man. Ushers were Richard A. Newcomb of Braintree, Mass., and Summer E. Thompson of Westboro, Mass. Organist for the ceremony was Miss Antonia Ciancarelli of Franklin, Mass. Violist was Mrs. Robert Pearson of Newbury, Mass., accompanied by Mrs. Ben jamin Stone of Newburyport, Mass. The bride is a graduate of High School and is a 1962 graduate of Jackson College, where she received her bachelor of arts degree in 'Eng lish. The bridegroom graduat ed from Loudoun County High School, Leesburg, Va., and is a 1961 graduate of Tufts Univer sity, where he received his bachelor of arts, degree in Eng lish. Cates Dies At Home In Norfolk Mrs. Margaret W. Cates, 58, died Tuesday afternoon at 2:15: o’clock at her home in Norfolk] after a long illness. A native] of Edenton, she was a daugh ter of Samuel F. Williams and | Mary Pearce. I Surviving are her husband, Clarence C. Cates; two sons, Clarence Cates, Jr., of Alamo garodo, New Mexico, and James W. Cates of Norfolk; two broth ers, 'Edward Williams of Kilmar nock, Va., and Tulley Williams of Los Angelas, Cal.; three sis ters, Mrs W. J. Berryman and Mrs. Philip McMullan of Eden ton and Mrs. Susie Waterbury of Morristown, N. J. She was a member of the Ocean View Baptist Church. Several Growers Os Peanuts Overplanted “We have several peanut pro ducers that have excess peanuts planted and have. indicated that they intend to hog the excess,” stated H. O. West, local ASC of fice manager, this week. “Most of these producers plan to measure the excess acreage themselves and have paid for only one trip to the farm for checking this j acreage. These producers are cautioned to be sure to .leave out enough acre age to take care of the excess.
