Town son, Jr., returned Sunday night from New York City, where they spent a few days. Week-end Visitors Mr. and Mrs. William D. Town son 111, and daughter, Angela, spent the week-end in Edenton. Mr. Townson is now employed at the Newport News Shipyard and the family is living at Hampton, Va. - O Mrs. Byrum Improving Friends will be pleased to learn that Mrs. George P. By rum, who is spending the winter at her home in West Palm Beach, Fla., is recovering from three! weeks illness due to an. infected foot. Mrs. Byrum had the mis- j fortune to stick a nail in her foot shortly before she left Eden ton for Florida. Portsmouth Visitors Mr. and Mrs. Donald Ervin of Portsmouth spent the week-end as guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. Ed win Bufflap. Attended Funeral William Easterling has return ed to Edenton from Rocky Mount where he attended the funeral of his father. Mrs. Easterling will return Friday. Newport News Visitor Mrs. William Belch of New port News, Va., was the week end guest of her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Cozart. Here From Henderson Mr. and Mrs. L. W- Parrish, J Sr., of Henderson, N. C., spent the week-end with their son-in law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Owens. Visit In Ahoskie Mr. and Mrs. Bill Goodwin and daughter. Jean visited Mrs. Goodwin’s sister, Mrs. Horace! Johnson in Ahoskie Sunday. Visit In Norfolk Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Britt spent a few days in Norfolk, Va., visiting their son and daughter in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Britt. Attend Football Game Mr. and Mrs. Gerald McGee spent the week-end in Durham visiting Mr. McGee's parents, Commander and Mrs. Hubert McGee. They attended the Duke-; Georgia Tech football game on Saturday. Greenville Visitors Mr. and Mrs. Alex White and l daughters, Rebecca and Anna of Greenville, spent Saturday after noon visiting his parents, Mr. j and Mrs. J. Frank White, Sr.,! on West Eden Street. They came to see their mother who has been quite sick for the past ten days. O Returns From Charlotte Mrs. H. C. Goodwin returned home Monday afternoon from Charlotte, where she spent three weeks as guest of her son-in law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Sewell. Greenville Visitors Mr. and Mrs. F. A. Jordan of Greenville were the week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. F. A. Jordan, Jr., in Westover Heights. Visit In Durham Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Kehayes spent the week-end in Durham and Raleigh. n Visiting In Raleigh Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Fry left Wednesday to spendiseveral days in Raleigh. Return From North Dr. and Mrs. Edward G. Bond have returned from a trip to New York and Boston where Dr. Bond attended a medical meet ing. Return From Chapel Hill Miss Pat Bond and Gris Bond have returned from Chapel Hill after a visit with their grand parents, Judge and Mrs. Phipps. Visiting In Atlanta Dr. and Mrs. Wallace Griffin are visiting in Atlanta, Ga.; they will go from Atlanta to Florida to spend the winter. Return From Convention Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Chestnutt returned home Sunday night from Pittsburgh,, Pa., where they attended the national postmas ters’ convention. St. Paul’s Bazaar Tuesday, Nov. 13 Continued from Page 1, Section 1 at East Carolina College, and by his wife, who is also a noted ar tist. Dr. Speight is a native of Bertie County. To aid refugees, it is hoped everyone attending the Bazaar will bring used clothing and blankets. The women of the church are sewing to make clothes badly needed by these people. Contributions to the Share Our Surplus program are being sought, as SI.OO will pur chase 400 pounds of food. As usual, there will be lots of homemade food, a variety of plants and other items of inter est on sale at the Bazaar. Mov ies will be shown for the chil dren, beginning at 2:30 P.
