If your work is covered under the social security act, and nine chances out of ten it is, then you • should check your account every three years. If an error be tween you and your employer, your employers and the internal revenue service, or internal rev enue and the social security ac counting office has been made, the law provides for a change within about three year's. Your official earnings record is posted and kept for use when you or your survivors apply for a social insurance benefit under the social security act. C-, November 13, 1962. The Town Council met this day in regular session at 8 P. M., at the Town Office. Members present were: Mayor John A. Mitchener, Jr., J. E. Bufflap, George A. Byrum, Lu ther C. Parks, R. Elton Forehand and R. D. Dixon, Jr. Mayor Mitchener called the I meeting to order and R. D. Dix on, Jr., gave the invocation. Clerk W. B. Gardner suggested from how on the minutes and department reports will be mail ed in advance of the regular meeting and will not be read aloud at the meetings in the in terest of saving time. The Coun. cil agreed to this suggestion ana directed the Clerk to proceed along these lines in future months. Kermit Layton expressed his objections to changing the zon ing on Second Street to Neign borhood Business and a letter from Commander Dalton was read protesting the changing of the zone. S. W. Af ter deliberation the Council de cided to leave the lease cost and contents as it presently was. A request from Mrs. L. T. Dunbar for rezoning a lot on E. Peterson Street from RA-5 to In dustrial was read. The Council called for a public hearing on this matter to be held on De cember 11, 1962 and referred it to the Zoning Board for their recommendation. Dixon, Jr., and duly carried adopting the following resolu tion: Resolution Accepting Bids On Treatment Plant— WHEREAS, proposals were re ceived on October 25th, 1962 for the construction of certain Sew age Treatment Facilities, and WHEREAS, the Engineers and Architects recommendations have been received by Town Council of the Town of 'Edenton, BE IT RESOLVED that, subject to approval of North Carolina Department of Water Resources, U. S. The Council directed Mr. Free man to file an application to Housing and Home Finance Agency for this project. Motion was made by C- A. Phillips, seconded by R.
