August is such a wonderful

Peanuts are important in any
language—even the language of

Hayes, America’s first lady of

one. She met her late husband,
Playwright Charles MacArthur,
at a party. Later when they
were in love he offered her a
oag or peanuts one time and
said, "I wish they were emer

know something, dear, I sort of
.vish they were peanuts.”
