Generally any landlord or tenant who produces one or mote of 'the price support com modities on the farm for which the loan application is made is eligible for a loan. If the ten ant is the one making the ap plication the loan Would be a joint loan with the tenant and landlord signing the promissory note, chattel mortgage and sev erance and security agreement. The amount of storage need ed is determined by estimating the yield per acre of the vari ous commodities to be stored.' Loans are made only on new structures or additions to exist ing structures. If a producer wishes a loan he will need to file an application at the county ASCS office and pay the ser vice charge of 1% of the loan or $5.00, whichever is greater. The producer will also furnish the county ASCS office with invoices and other information showing the cost of the bins, equipment and construction at the time application is filed. Concrete foundation may not be included in co^t. Loans pn -bins • are available only for storage of commodities grown by applicant. It cannot be used to store commodities purchased or commercial stor age for others. The maximum amount that can be loaned on any storage facility is 85 percent of the erected cost (not including foundation) or 50 cents times the bushel capacity of the. bin, whichever is smaller. The county committee will re view the application and issues commitment to applicant show ing that the loan has been ap proved. Producer takes com mitment to bin supplier as evi dence loan has been approved.
