Rissho Kosei Kai, one of the biggest of Japan’s “new religions” has dedicated a new temple in Tokyo for the use of its 2.5 million mem bers. The seven-story struc ture, largest building for re ligious use in the Orient, has 20,000 visitors a day and can accommodate 30,000 persons. The beliefs of this “relig ion” center on Buddhist doc trines as interpreted by the 13th century Jauanese teach er Nichiren Shonin. At the Same time this is happening, copies of the Bible ar.d the sutra have been exchanged by the Ja pan Bible Society and All Japan Buddhist Association. In addition to the special presentation copies, about 2,000 Bibles donated by the Danish Bible Society were given to the Japan Bible So ciety for distribution to Buddhist priests throughout Japan.
