The Associational WMU meeting was held Tuesday at Ballard’s Bridge Baptist Church, beginning at 10 A., M. Lunch was served by the hostess church. A GA home mission book, “Safari North,” was taught by James Byrum Monday night at 7:30 in the fellowship hall at the Edenton Baptist Church. Mr. and Mrs. Preston Nixon of Hertford, Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey Ralph of COrapeake and Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Leary of Eden ton visited Mrs. Annie Leary Sunday afternoon. At that time I pledged to give of my time and efforts to work hard and unselfishly for a better Edenton. I have done my very best. Inexperience was an obstacle. After serving 3J4 years on the Council, I feel I am more qualified to do a better job. Although I am proud of the past, I am real concerned about the future. Let me serve YOU for another 4 years. The Little Theater pro duction “Never Too Late,” attracted many people the two nights it was staged. The ninth annual Crafts man’s Fair opened Wed nesday at the National Guard armory in Elizabeth City and will run through Friday. It is the biggest and best yet, it is said. The 1967 Pilgrimage of Colonial Edenton and Countryside began Friday and came to a close Sun day afternoon with cere monies at Chowan County Court House, which this year is 200 years old. Wil liam Drower of Washing ton, D. C., a British Em bassy official, spoke at 3 P. M. in front of the court house. Rep. Walter Jones, First District Congress man, introduced the speak er. An informal tea was held in the panel room of the court house.
