Frankly, I don’t know for sure, and many political observers are of the same opinion. Politics are a little out of my line; there i> too much double-talk and gobbledegook that means absolutely nothing. Rockefeller, when asked if he would like to be presi dent, replied, “Any Am erican would,” or words to that effect. Meaning what, that he, Rockefeller would like to be president? Could be. Neither did he slam the door and lock it; he lelt at least a slight crack. Would he re-consider, he was asked, and he answer . ed. If there came a clear and "meaningful” call. I suppose that means, if he gets a mandate from the people. Now, do you see what I mean by double talk? Frankly. I’m a little fed up with politics —in general, and the Demo cratic hooey and the Re publican hooey in particu lar. And if the trend con . tinues in this vein, I’m voting for George Wallace. Much of what Wallace says makes sense to me. At least you know where he stands. In this, I am not being facetious or treating Wallace with levity. THE CHOWAN HERALD, EDENTON, NORTH CAROLINA. THURSDAY, MARCH R, IMS. MOW AOP IS BEALLY 111 THE SIIIIP (SOUP BUSINESS. THAT IS) For years, our Ann Page Division has made great soups... but there were only 3: Tomato, Tomato Rice and Cream of Mushroom. For some time, we’ve been working on new varieties. But you know fussy A&P. If they are going to be called Ann Page, there can’t be better soups... and you can’t rush perfection. It’s taken time but it was worth it. When you taste our 4 new varieties, you’ll agree. a y» aGE r*«T*aul [»] FiG£TABU] And when you see the prices... you’ll want to buy them all. You should, because they just might be the best values in the store. One more thing, all 7 have shiny new green, red and gold labels. Now that A&P is really in the soup business, shouldn’t A&P be your store? COPYRIGHT I 1968, THE GREAT ATLANTIC A PACIFIC TEA CO.. INC.
