PAGE TWO A BROAD STREET BULLETIN - br - Kate As we travel down life’s highway Filled with joy and bitter tears. Let’s remember all the good things That God gave us through the years* 1 don’t know of any thing which makes me more happy than to ride through the town and countryside and seeing the beautiful flowering shrubs tmd trees. Spring is such a glorious time of yeai. Bight here in front of my window the camellias are blooming profusely and the weeping willow tree is so very green and it looks so graceful with its branches swaying in the breeze. How good it is to be alive! They say that in days gone by, politics were dis cussed and debated by MEN ONLY. Not so any more. In fact, the big turn about this past week end made everyone sit up and take notice. What the lesults will be is any one’s guess, but I’m won dering if it still doesn’t amount to more political strategy. After 46 what causes so many women to limp, waddle and sway? Is it excess weight, fallen arches, aching joints, tend er toes, tight footwear or callous unconcern? Opportunities to lose money pop up every day. Mrs. Schmidt gave us a most gracious in vitation to visit Snug Har bor and, believe me, we shall try to take her up on that invitation. It’s really very nice to get letters from my readers. By the time you are reading this I’m scheduled egain to be in Albemarle Hospital awaiting another operation Friday morning. I’ll try to write some on this column next week, if I am able. If not—a happy Easter to each of you. Here’s a recipe for quick Chocolate Fudge: 1 lb. confectioners’ sugar. 5 squares chocolate. 1 egg. IV2 teaspoons vanilla. v 4 lb. butter. Pinch of salt.
