Mr. and Mrs. David White and family of New port News, Va., spent the weekend with his mother, Mrs. J. W. White. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Baker, Mrs. Virgie Baker, Mrs. Ethel Winburne and B. L. Smithwick visited in Cres well Sunday. Miss Peggy White of Chowan College, Murfrees boro, and Miss Carol White of East Carolina Univer sity, Greenville, spent the weekend at their homes with their parents. Special Classes Set By Colleges RALElGH—Eighteen com munity colleges and techni cal institutes in North Ca lclina will offer a total of 34 technical programs in 11 different curricula in agri cultural and biological edu cation during the 1968-69 school year. These 11 curricula, all two-year programs, lead to the associate in applied science degree. The need to train techni cians has become more pressing with each passing year as agriculture takes on new emphasis. According to Fred W.
