Leo Green of Southeastern Baptist Theo logical Seminary in Wake Forest, will be guest preacher at Edenton Bap tist Church Sunday. Dr. Green, who was guest preacher last Sun clay, is well known to the membership of the church and to many in the com munity because of numer ous previous preaching en gagements with the local church as well as in other churches of the area. Since the establishment ot the seminary in Wake Forest, Dr. Green has served as professor of He brew and Old Testament. Also, because he is one of the most able preachers in the Southern Baptist Con vention, he is very much in demand and he has fill ed world-wide engagements in South America, the British Isles, Europe, Af rica and the Middle East. The supervised church nursery will be open dur ing the morning and even ing services for the con venience of parents with small children. The morn ing service at 11 o’clock will be broadcast over the facilities of station WCDJ as a service to those un able to attend. Good win, 96, died Monday in Chowan Hospital. A native of the Mace donia section of Chowan County, Mrs. Goodwin was the widow of George M. Goodwin. She was the oldest member of Mace donia Baptist Church. Surviving are three sons: Bill Goodwin, Hoskin Good win and Henderson Good win; a daughter, Mrs. Mar tha Hollowell; a sister, Mrs. Ruth Morgan, all of Edenton; 13 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 3 P. M.
