A chicken harvest sup per was held Saturday evening at Center Hill- Cross Roads Fire Depart ment. Mr. and Mrs. Woody Hoggard visited Mrs. Essie Hoggard over the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Stan Perry and Elaine are vacationing in Florida this week. Titus Chappell Taken In Death Titus Edward Chappell, 78, passed away Wednesday of last week at 5:30 P. M. in Chowan Hospital. Born in Perquimans County June 12, 1890, he was the son of the late Jesse P. and Mary Caro line Chappell. He lived for many years in Tyner, where he was a retired merchant, farmer and pos tal employee. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Minnie Ellis Chap pell; two daughters, Mrs. Melba Bunch of Edenton and Mrs. Joyce Allen of Salisbury; one sister, Mrs. Millicent Bunch of Eden ton and four grandchildren. He was a member of the Center Hill Methodist Church, Woodmen of the World and Modern Wood men. A funeral service was held in Center Hill Metho dist Church FYiday after noon at 2 o’clock. Rev. Richard Griffin was the of ficiating minister. Burial was in Beaver Hill Ceme tery. Williford Funeral Home was in charge of arrange ments.
