Memberships Being Sought The membership goal of $13,000 for Edenton Cham ber of Commerce has reached the half-way point but Chairman Carlton Jackson said many of those soliciting memberships have not yet reported. This annual campaign for memberships was started following the banquet on September 20. Byrum, Sr., Route 1, Edenton, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Robert Lane, at 11 A. M., Monday following an extended illness. He was 80. Mr. Byrum, a native of Chowan County, was a son of the late Frank V. and Martha G. Boyce Byrum. His marriage was to the former Mennie Perry. He was retired from Edenton Cotton Mill. Surviving are two sons: Herbert C. By rum, Jr., of Edenton; and Frank W. Byrum of Greenville, Miss.; three daughters: Mrs. Lucy Mae Lane and Mrs. Mabel B. Bass, both of Edenton; NOTICE!
