That the Commission ers of Chowan County Drainage District Number Three have filed a petition with this Court, in which they set forth that Cho wan County Drainage Dis trict Number Three be renovated, improved and enlarged, and generally re store it to its originally won second prize in the 1969 National Orange Show in California. It is bound to be good. Happy Orange Cake 1 cup butter. 1% cups sugar. 3 egg yolks. 3 cups unsifted flour. 1 teaspoon baking pow der. 1 teaspoon salt. 1 teaspoon soda. 1 cup buttermilk. 2 tablespoons grated or ange peel. 1 cup finely chopped walnuts. 6 egg whites. In large mixer bowl, cream butter until light; gradually add sugar, beat ing 'until fluffy. Add egg yolks, beat until blended. Sift together dry ingredi ents; add to creamed mix ture alternately with but termilk. Beat at medium speed five minutes. Re serve two teaspoons chop ped walnuts, for garnish; add remaining walnuts and orange peel to batter, stir ring with a spoon or spat ula until evenly blended. In large bowl, beat egg whites at high speed until very stiff, but not dry. Gently, but thoroughly, fold whites into batter. Pour into a well-greased and floured 10-inch cake pan. Bake at 350 degrees for one hour. Let stand three minutes before turn ing out onto wire rack. When cool, drizzle topping over cake and sprinkle with chopped nuts. For the topping beat to gether one teaspoon grated orange peel, two table spoons orange juice and one and one-fourth cups unsifted powdered sugar.
